Portugal & The Loire, November 14
Secret Cellar, Forest Row
4/26 places available
This evening will provide a great contrast between two old world regions, each benefiting from quite different terroirs. We’ll be exploring the 3 key grapes of the Loire: irresistibly refreshing, racy Sauvignon Blanc, crisp and mineral Chenin Blanc and bracing Cabernet Francs brimming with blackcurrant and raspberry-fruit character. We’ll contrast these styles with the table wines (not Ports) of Portugal, tasting ripe, round flavoursome whites and full, bright, rich reds made from the wealth of grape varieties indigenous to Portugal.
Cost: £47.50pp, including 8-10 wines and food pairings
